TAKE A HOLIDAY WITH GOD -

We have been organizing retreats and quiet days in Jersey since 1965. They were first started by Evelyn Chavasse when he became the Rector of the Parish of St Peter. Since then retreats and quiet days in the Island, and pilgrimages to France and the United Kingdom have been organized very successfully.

 The Aims of the Association.

-To foster the growth of Christian spiritual life, especially by the practice of retreats, quiet days and similar activities.

-To introduce retreats and quiet days to those who do not know of them.

-To organize and conduct regular ecumenical residential and non-residential retreats and quiet days, pilgrimages and similar activities.

A LETTER FROM OUR CHAIRMAN, Rev. Martin Poolton

 I wonder how your Lent is going?  Have you managed to keep your resolutions?  Or have you slipped a little?  Lent is the opportunity to walk with forty days and nights, mirroring his forty days and nights in the wilderness.  It is time that lends itself well to personal spiritual reflection.  A time to listen to God speaking to us.  A time to draw near.

The purpose of our Association is to provide just those opportunities, not just for the forty days and nights of Lent, but throughout the year.  Last year was certainly no exception with our retreat to Normandy in the spring and the retreat led by Gerard Hughes in the autumn.  This website tells you about some of the up coming quiet days and retreats for the year ahead.  Once more we are offering you the opportunity to step out of busy lives and spend some time with God.  Please do look through our programme and sign up for one or more - or even all our events.  I look forward to meeting you there.
